Tasting Notes
88pts, Robert Parker Jr., The Wine Advocate, (#155) 10/25/04 "Slightly leaner, but still richly fruity, the medium-to full-bodied 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals more herbal undertones intermixed with black currant and cherry fruit. It should drink well for 5-8 years."
88pts, Wine Spectator 9/30/04 - Steve Hoff Cabernet Sauvignon Barossa 2002 "Rich, ripe and generous, more like a Shiraz than a Cabernet, but it brims with broad cherry and raspberry flavors, shaded with spicy oak as the flavors persist against a swarm of fine tannins on the sharp-edged finish. Best from 2005 through 2010. 1,600 cases made."–H.S.

The grapes for this wine were grown by our neighbors, Peter and Anita Frazer, whose low-yielding vineyard produces fruit of exceptional quality that displays intense richness and varietal character.
In 2002 we had a cooler ripening period than previous years, which is a great benefit to Cabernet Sauvignon.
Twelve months of ageing in American oak.
